Pick one and fold it step by step. Real folds, real paper (sort of).
Everything you've folded and saved. Click one to look at it up close.
Real crease patterns, folded by physics. Squash, petal, sink, reverse folds: every fold happens on its own, all at once.
Red lines = mountain, blue = valley, black = edge, yellow = flat (Origami Simulator .svg format), or a .fold file. Crease patterns and the physics approach come from Origami Simulator by Amanda Ghassaei (MIT).
Give it a 3D model and one square of paper folds and crumples itself around it. Turning any model into clean origami is still a research problem, so this is the experimental version: no cuts, no glue, lots of creases.
Works best with chunky, rounded shapes. Thin bits (legs, antennas) just get covered.
